Due to the government shutdown, Colorado families receiving food assistance (SNAP/EBT) will not receive benefits in November. This means thousands of families in our community could face a sudden food crisis.
Serve 6.8 and its network of church-based Resource Centers are already positioned to respond, but the need for food and support may rise to 3-4 times the normal demand in the coming weeks.
Here’s how we can help:
- Give: Serve 6.8 needs immediate funding to purchase additional food (an estimated $20–25k per month) to meet the surge in demand. You can give to their Family Assistance Fund using this link: https://serve68.org/give/
- Volunteer: Extra hands are needed to help serve families through local Resource Centers. If you can help, sign up here: https://serve68.org/serve/
Our support will ensure families in need continue to receive food and care during this crisis and through the holiday season. Let’s come together as a church to help meet this need in Jesus’ name.
