Tips and Tidbits

Sometimes visual aids can help kids understand what a verse is saying which makes it easier to memorize. Here is a youtube video that explains this months memory verse. There is a lot of reading so you might have to help explain what is going on to your child. There were also other options for videos so you can find the one that fits your family best. Just type in Romans 6:23 into the search engine.

Tips and Tidbits

One way that the BE2 classroom found to help kids memorize last month’s Bible verse was to use hand gestures. Last month with the bible verse

Psalm 103:11, For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him...

the children raised their hands above their heads for the heavens and held out their arms wide for great. Most of the children had it memorized by the end of class.

Here is a link to a youtube video that puts this month’s memory verse to music. It combines Romans 3:23 and John 3:16. Music is a great way to help with your child’s memory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrTcD1_v92g

Tips and Tidbits

A great way to help your children memorize scripture is to have your older kids get involved and help them memorize it. This worked for one of the kids in the BE1 classroom. As well as learning a little bit at a time and lots of repetition. A great place to work on it is in the car, it helps you remember to do it and happens frequently!
